 CoinLoan was a cryptocurrency exchange based in Estonia.   CoinLoan was founded in August 2017 by Alex Faliushin and Max Sapelov and was headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia.  The Company offered a variety of services including interest earning accounts, crypto custody and trading and collateral based loans.  

 On 4/25/23, CoinLoan received a notice of restraint on disposition from the Harju County Court. On 14 June 2023, the Company was declared bankrupt and Martin Pärn was appointed as bankruptcy trustee.  The Trustee has been recovering assets and evaluating filed proofs of claim.   Faliushin has asserted that the market decline in 2022, coupled with the insolvency of several other cryptocurrency platforms caused CoinLoan’s insolvency.

 The deadline to file proofs of claim was 14 August 2023 and a meeting of creditors was held on 19 July 2023. The Trustee is currently reviewing claims and has announced that the estate will begin liquidating their cryptocurrency holdings.
